Mark took up Amateur Boxing in Croydon Victoria in the early 1980's when he was just a kid. In 1985 Mark began Kenpo Karate. He then moved to Queensland with his parents where he began to study Zen-Do-Kai karate, achieving 4th Degree Black Belt.

During 1988 Mark saw his first kickboxing bout and he was hooked, having his debut fight in May 1988, which he won on points.

Then in December of 1990 Mark got his first taste of Muay Thai through Bob Jones of Zen Do Kai and BJC fame. Bob had just returned from Thailand and was spreading the good word about their devastating fighting art! It was from this point on that Mark decided that Muay Thai was for him.

Mark had a decorated career of 30 fights for 25 wins, 7 inside the distance, 5 losses, picking up Queensland and Australian titles from the WKA and WMTC between Super-featherweight and Super-lightweight. Mark last stepped in the ring at Chaweng Stadium - Koh Samui, Thailand in 1998 and ended his career with a first round KO victory.

Mark is one of the most experienced and respected trainers in Australia, having been training fighters for almost 20 years!
