JWP Tournament 9.12.06
JWP is putting on yet another of his amatuer tournament shows at the Robina Community Centre on December 9th.
SFG Has put forward a few names with J.A. already matched to fight Boonchu Gyms Guy Irwin (69kg) in non-padded 3x2 Mod Thai Fight.
Also on the card and making his debut will be Strikeforces new young gun, 7 year old Arkheem Lucchiari (25kg). Still waiting to be confirmed are Trent Harding and Andy Brown.

J.A. weighed in last night. He and Guy both easily came in under the 67kg cut off. Kheems got matched up with Lauchlan Kelley from the Fist A Cuffs gym at 25kg. And Hiep Ngyuen takes on Liam Lawler from Final Contact at 63kg.

First up on JWP's massive 28 fight card was Diamond Jims young charge Arkheem Lucchiari. Little kheems was super composed and aggressive putting together some nice combinations and grappling strongly. Resulting in a TKO in the second by way of knees.
Fight number 21 and SFG's Hiep Ngyuen took on Liam Lawler from final contact. This was a fast paced affair with Hiep coming out on top with a series of knockdowns. TKO rd 1.
J.A. was up in fight 24. He and Guy fought under Mod Thai rules over 3x2s without pads. First round progressed well with both boys scoring J.A. more with kicks and Guy with hands. The second started out the same way when Guy caught J.A. with a big punch which dropped him. After beating the count Guy jumped on him again and put him down with another flurry of punches. The ref, Brad "Dodge" Hull, waved off the fight with Guy the winner by KO rd2.
