Holiday Wrap Up and Upcoming Fights

The year at Strikeforce finished off with a gym party on the 20th December and Daniel Moulder took out the Fighter of the year award. With a break for 2 weeks Mark was in the gym doing maintenance work and making sure the gym would be ready for the first week in January for all the fighters.
2009 is starting off with a trip to Hong Kong for Pixie Burton, at 66kgs, against the durable Bill Chong of Hong Kong. This will be a semi main fight to Preacher and Saiyaknoi which Mark will be the guest ref.
Also on the card, Matt Mctavish will fight a 62kg fight against a tough boy from Hong Kong with this show set for the 21st of Feb.

On the same night 21st Feb, in Beenleigh Queensland, Aaron TS2 will go to war with the tough Ghot Suer Noi from Nuggets Gym the weight set for this fight is at 55kg.
Also on the card, Evan Morris makes his long awaited comeback from injury against Derick Harvey from S.C.T.B.C this fight is scheduled for 5 x 2mins with elbows at 72.5kg.
Even Ben Counsel steps back into the ring aginst a tough boy from Cairns at 70kgs.

War on the Shore 13, March the 7th, sees Danny DDD Derdowski as the semi main event against Daniel Jones from Boonchu Gym. This fight weight will be at 79kgs, with Danny looking to fight a lot more regularly this year.
Also on the the undercard Brodie Smith steps in against the tough Paul Carson at 63.5kgs.
Matt Mctavish takes on Kevin Lay from NTG at 62kgs and Mark Lucchiari will take a big step to fight Tyson from NTG at 79kgs. And rounding out the Strikeforce fighters will be Judd Cornwall fighting Kris Bayntun at 74kgs.

Next the Strikeforce fight team will head to Hervey Bay where our own Thai trainer will step back into the ring against Beniah Doumah at 58 to 60kgs. This will be Charavan's first fight in 5 years but by looking at him in the gym he has lost none of his skills.
Also on the card Mark Bowman will fight Gerard Chillcott at 67kgs and Keiran Fayhe is right back in there again at 76kgs against Matt Hughes. We are also trying to match Andy Brown at 74kgs and Bryan Wright at 67kgs and Ross Emerton at 74kgs on this show..

April 4th is set for the first Evolution show of the year and daniel Moulder has been invited to fight Wayne Martin at 66kgs, this is a rematch fight with Daniel winning the WMC Welterweight Australian title last time they fought.
