War On The Shore 7 24.2.07
They say there is no rest for the wicked and Mark Pease and Mr.C have been at it again getting the ball rolling for War On The Shore 7. The event is set to take place at the Southport RSL on February 24 2007.
WOTS7 sees Brisbanes Bruce "The Preacher" McFie step in to centre ring against European star Vitali Gurkov. SFG's very own Danny "DDD" Derdowski takes on Brett Daltons young charge Chad Walker from W.A. and Brodie Smith (SFG) will battle out the WMC Australian Super Lightweight 63.5kg title with Black Dragon Kais Duane "Shadow" Shepard.
The undercard is shaping up well with a wealth of up and coming talent on show. More details closer to the event.

Well in the first update for 2007, there has been a few changes to the line up! Unfortunately Vitali Gurkov has had to return to Belarus and has withdrawn from his eagerly awaited match up with Preacher. Negotiations are currently under way for a replacement with some big names in consideration. Hopefully that will all be finalised this week.
The Danny Derdowski Chad Walker showdown is also off. Danny unfortunately had to withdraw due to unforeseen commitments. Hopefully this fight will still go ahead a little later in the year.
Stepping in to the Semi Main event are two of the Gold Coasts young guns. Frank Giorgi is out to continue his good from on War of the Shore shows and takes on Strikeforce Gym's Evan Morris. This will be Evans Professional debut and after spending 6 weeks in Koh Samui at the WMC camp is looking sharp as ever with a whole bag of new tricks. This bout will be a contrast of styles and promises to be a cracker.
Still finalising some of the undercard bouts but most of your WOTS favourites will be there. Gyms competing on the show will include NTG, Ironfist, Sunshine Coast Thai Boxing Centre, 5 Rings Dojo, Black Dragons Kai, and K6 Center.

Preacher was originally matched against Vitaly Gurkov but apparently Viatly has had to return to Belarus so in his place we have Richard Simko from Slovakia. Richard is the current 72.5 WPMF World Champion and has been training in Thailand for the last year! He comes to us highly regarded and is sure to test out the Preacher!
Evan and Frank is a match up that has come close to happening a few times in the past and will be a great fight of two very contrasting styles!! Both boys are looking to make the presence felt in the professional ranks and see each other as the first step up that ladder!
After both putting in very impressive displays at War on the Shore 6 Brodie Smith and "Shadow" Shepard finally meet in a long awaited Australian title showdown!!
Tyson and Ben are rematching after a 3 round war which the judges couldn't split last November on the Sunshine Coast! Both boys are big hits so expect some fire works!
The card has come together nicely and Mark and Mr C are still finalising a few undercard fights to top off the night!

Main change is that the Darren Hobbs Hector Lombard fight is off. Darren had a nasty shin infection which didn't heal and has had to withdraw.

Well so ends another sensational Than Samai fight show.
It was a great night of very evenly matched fights. Some absolute cracker fights. Preacher and Richard Simko had a 5 round war as did Mark Sarracino and Mark Staiti.
