War On The Shore 8

Well groovers its about that time again!
The next thrilling instalment of Than Samai Promotions War On The Shore series is coming up on July 14th at the Southport RSL!
The card is shaping up nicely and its looking like a full on night of action!
As always tickets are available from the Southport RSL box office on 55 312289. There is also a very limited number of tables still available so call Mark on 0412 189024.
Ok so anyway here is the card as it stands today and as always there is the likelihood of a few changes!

Aaron was originally set down to fight the Polish boy who fought Dane "Daddy Cool" Beecham on the last Evolution but unfortunately Raphael has had to return to Poland and cannot fight. Just waiting to confirm a replacement.
All in all though its a pretty well stacked card and some good rematches. Ben Counsel and Clinton Cork was a war last time out and this time promises to be more of the same! Daniel Moulder is after revenge against Taylor Harvey after his loss at Evolution and Ben "Pixie" Burton is making his long overdue comeback in a grudge match against Andrew "KO" Keogh! Flip and Corey is shaping up as a super technical fight and Kris and Frank is one that I can't wait for!

Well what can I say. Another capacity crowd and another ripper of a show.
The Doctor had a look at the fight card when he arrived and said to me "look at all the FTR fights.. I think there will be a lot of blood tonight!"
Well there was elbows a plenty and a few nice cuts through the night. Another night of well matched action packed fights.
Mark Lucchiari and Trent Harding set the SFG night off in style with good wins, Mark by second round KO and Trent with a well earnt points victory.
Taylor Harvey kept his good roll up with a split points win over Dan Moulder. Dan opened a nice cut on Taylors head in the second but couldn't work it enough for the stoppage. Taylors higher work rate enough to get him over the line.
Brodie Smith came out all guns blazing against Marc Saracino. Marc was his usual walk forward self. Half way through the 4th round Marc landed a nice knee in the grapple which put Brodie down. He managed to beat the count but never recovered getting put down twice more to give Marc a well deserved TKO win. Watch for a rematch soon!
The girl from NZ, Angela Orr showed a heap of heart in losing to Jess Tolhurst. Took a fair beating but still came forward and I am pretty sure I even saw her smiling at the end of the fight! Jess was just better technically and controlled the fight. But the pair managed to stand toe to toe and trade punches on numerous occasions. Well done on Jess and the team at BDK on winning the South Pacific Title.
The first of the pro fights was the eagerly awaited match up of Boonchus Phil "Flip" Street and Corey Gwaliasi, formerly of Melbourne now based at Sotchralda in Bangkok. The boys were hard at it but Flip just seemed to have the edge in speed and was just a bit sharper. Points win to Flip.
Kris Bayntun showed he is back to his best with a brutal display over Ben Counsel. Kris had the size advantage and used it well!He out muscled Ben and landed some strong knees scoring knockdowns in the second then finished Ben in the third.
Pixie and Keogh. What can I say it was a five round war. Andrew just fights at a million miles an hour! Pixie took a couple of rounds to clear the ring rust and came home strong but KO already had the points built up and took the win (and quite a few stitches to boot!)
Aaron Leigh made short work of the Thai sent to face him. Scoring an early night courtesy of a kick knock out!
All in all another great show. Special thanks to the guys at Pay Day Central, VAS, and Fight World for their continued support!
