War On The Shore 9

Sorry guys, I dropped the ball updating the website lately! Anyway War On The Shore 9 went off to a packed house at the Southport RSL on Saturday night.
Anyway these fights were all quality and the shows are just going from strength to strength!
MAIN EVENT
Aaron "TS2" Leigh 55kgs (SFG) Vs ManKwok 57kgs (Hong Kong)
5x3 FTR
What a fight! Aaron by KO end of fourth round - the Hong Kong guy was a great fighter, but Aaron was on fire last night! Scoring with kicks, knees, punches, throwdowns, elbows, teeps to completely demolish Man Kwok by the end. Awesome fight!

SEMI MAIN EVENTS
Danny "DDD" Derdowski (SFG) Vs Nongbank Lukprabaht(Thailand)
82Kgs 5x3 FTR
Danny winner UPD after 5 rounds - great fight, the thai didn't look much like a fighter physically but surprised many in the ring - very smart and evasive, and wore some hard punishment from DDD without going down once. He was taller than DDD! Rarely see a Thai so huge! Great technical fight!

WMC AUSTRALIAN PRO LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE
Phil "Flip" Street (Boonchu Gym) Vs George "The Gladiator" Groth (K6 Gympie) 61.5kg 5x3 FTR
What a war!!! This fight was awesome, with Flip taking it on a points decision. George is so tough, put up a great fight, came out with a nasty cut under his eye.

Dane"Daddy Cool" Beecham (NTG) Vs Hiep Ngyuen (Vietnam/Thailand)
57kg 5x3 FTR
Winner Dane TKO round 2 (leg kicks). Dane looked a bit bigger than Hiep, they traded well to begin with but then Dane got Hiep with a sweet trademark Daddy Cool leg kick and kept working on it with Hiep receiving a couple of 8 counts til the fight was called off. Looked nasty and swollen post-fight. Congrats to Dane!

WMC QUEENSLAND AMATEUR WELTERWEIGHT TITLE
Dan Moulder (SFG) vs Clinton Cork (Matrix)
66.7 kg 5x2 FTR
What a fight! Dan wins by TKO in the fourth (cut stoppage) to become the Queensland welterweight champion! Clinton started out well, but Daniel came into his own in the last rounds firing awesome elbows and knees giving Clinton a couple of nasty big cuts for the doc to get to work on! Awesome fight! Congrats to Dan - a well deserved win.

WMC AUSTRALIAN AMATUER LIGHT WELTERWEIGHT TITLE
Brodie Smith (SFG) VS Kevin NTG (NTG)
63.5 kg 5x2 FTR
And what a fight this was as well!! Brodie the winner after 5 rounds by points decision. Kevin as usual bringing his powerful punching into play, but Brodie employed excellent evasive skills and attacking skills to kick, punch and knee his way to victory and to maintain his hold on the title for another year! Congrats to Brodie!

Evan Morris (SFG) Vs Robbie Filliponi (SCTBC)
71.5kg 5x2 FTR
This fight was an awesome display of pure toe-to-toe thai style, both boys counter-fighting with excellent attack and defence skills. Both boys used punches, kicks and elbows right from the bat Evan giving Robbie a nice cut on the top of his head from an elbow. Very close fight, with Evan ahead in round 4, before Robbie launched a kick to the neck connecting perfectly, toppling Evan to the canvas and the fight was stopped immediately.
Maybe a rematch sometime next year.

Mark Lucchiari (SFG) Vs Daniel Jones (Boonchu)
78kg 3x2 MTR
Mark wins unanimous points decision.
Awesome display of skill by Mark Lucchiari for his 4th fight taking on Daniel for his 9th fight. Daniel was a bit of a giant , but height advantage didn't phase Mark, first round was good, with Mark scoring more with leg kicks and boxing, but in the second round he took it to a whole other level - the crowd went off as Mark fired up with massive chopping leg kicks and boxing skills giving Daniel an 8 count and taking the round 10-8. The third was more cautious, with Daniel coming back with some boxing, but Mark showing he could defend as well as attack. Great fight!!

Ben Peasley (SFG) Vs Luke Gornell (Matrix Gym)
70kg 3x2 MTR
Winner Luke by UPD. Both boys came out firing right off the bat. Luke had quite the height advantage scoring with some punches and knees but Ben was like a bulldog, scoring with punches and leg kicks. I'd say Ben edged both the first and second, but the third Luke really opened up with his boxing giving Ben 2 standing 8 counts to win the round and the fight. Great heart shown by both boys! Great to watch.

"Whoa. what can i say but this show went off, the place was full over the 1000 mark again and everybody in the place and i mean everybody cheered for every fight all they way to the last one with TS2, and oh my God what a ring entrance by TS2, with Monarch a local Rap Star rapping him to the ring with a couple of dancing girls well lets just say the roof was lifted by the deafening noise . Thank you Sicarii for the run down of fights which was almost correct but one as Dan Moulder won by ref stoppage in the 4th round via a cut, but everything else was perfect. Now i want to thank my team at Than Samai and all th Boys and Girls at Strikeforce cause without you this show would not have been the exceptional event that it was to J.A well done and MR C we did it again mate. And thanks to all the Trainers Nugget ,JWP, Peter Kent, Billy The Kid and Joe Hilton also for being a part of it. And i would also like to thank Danny Jones for flying up to Judge thanks mate, But most of all i want to thank all fighters cause you all fought extremely well and made the show what it was.
